This video shows our Earthbag Punish project, now called Hacienda Eco-Domes, from the very start.
- First, we cleaned up the 6600m2 lot.
- Then we built the property wall out of earthbags (super adobe); basically plastic bags filled with dirt.
- After a few missteps and a wall crash disaster (the learning curve is tough!), we finally figured it out and were able to build a huge 250-meter-long property wall made from dirt, water, plastic bags, barbed wire, and cement.
It was a huge task. It took 10 of us about 3 months to complete. But once finished, we felt like we had enough hands-on experience to attempt more domes and rectangle the main building; which we did.
And by 2018, we have Hacienda Eco-Domes open for business!
