So, as of today, March 4th 2021, we are just about finished with new vineyard at the back of our property; one more day of touch-ups! That’s it! It has 80 vines that will produce a bunch of grapes.
The grapes we will produce are eating grapes; not for wine. We have over 100 wineries in our lovely area for wineries. They do a better job than we can. So for us at Hacienda Eco-Domes, we are all about growing organic food. We aim to produce the majority of the food we consume. And for the excess production, we aim to give it away to the community as needed. The new vines will start producing in 2022.
Next up? We are remodeling our 2020 HOPE GARDEN. We are enclosing it fully to protect against the critters. In the large hope garden, we grow food like lettuce, tomatoes, garlic, onions, potatoes, tomatoes and more. It should be ready in 2 weeks. Food will be ready for harvest this season.
After this work, we will build a Jacuzzi Spa and update the Rock River. The 6 seater jacuzzi spa with a deep water area for stand-up “working out” will be custom-made from local materials. Will take about 3 months to complete. Getting in the hot tub will be a great opportunity for our guests to relax after a hard day of wine tasting! So stay tuned!
